Submitting your intro video

There are two ways to submit your intro video:

  1. Use your webcam to record your video introduction directly in the ‘Video’ section. If approved, it will be automatically uploaded to Vimeo.

  2. Use your webcam or any other camera to record your video introduction. When the video is ready, upload it either to YouTube or Vimeo, and paste the link to your video by clicking ‘Insert link’

    Key Requirements & Best Practices:
    • Content: Focus on a strong, engaging introduction, explaining who you are and what you do within the first 10 seconds.
    • Duration: Aim for 30-60 seconds for homepage videos, while specialized intros can be 3-7 seconds.
    • Technical Specs:
      • Format: Landscape (16:9) is standard for websites, though vertical (9:16) is common for social-driven mobile sites.
      • Audio/Lighting: Ensure clear audio without background noise and good lighting (avoid direct airflow onto microphones).
      • File Size: Compress videos to under 5MB to ensure fast loading times.
    • Formatting: Use a tripod for stability.
